Both of these models feature a brake, an E-Clutch System, and a Kickback Brake. The brake brings the wheel to a full stop within two seconds or less after the user releases the trigger. Next, when the grinder detects wheel pinching, the E-Clutch System automatically shuts down the motor. Finally, the Kickback Brake ties both of the latter features together for another level of safety. In the event of a pinch, the Kickback Brake engages at maximum force and shuts the tool down. We really like the DeWalt FlexVolt 60V Max Grinder. It has a solid build, feels nice in our hands, runs for a while on a charge, and most importantly, has more than enough power to get the job done.
