Cub Cadet Releases Line of All-Electric OPE
Cub Cadet is introducing a fully electric line of all-new 60V outdoor power equipment. The company says it’s looking to level the playing field between electric and gas. Each tool looks like it has the same level of design and ergonomics we’ve come to expect. These new Cub Cadet electric outdoor power tools just run on a new 60V battery platform instead of gas.
Cub Cadet 60V OPE Tools Lineup
New Cub Cadet 60V Max electric tools include the 21″ Signature Cut walk-behind mower, 16″ chainsaw, 24-inch dual-action hedge trimmer, 600 CFM/110 mph leaf blower, and 15″ string trimmer. The tools are powered by either a 2.5Ah or 5Ah 60V lithium-ion battery. The standard charger recharges the 2.5Ah battery pack in about 75 minutes and it will fully recharge the 5Ah pack in about 2.5 hours.
As is the case with most gas to electric transitions, these models are going to provide much quieter lawn maintenance than their gas-powered counterparts. That pretty much means you can work on the yard at dawn, dusk, or any time that fits your schedule—without disturbing the neighbors and having to mix or even buy fuel.

This mower delivers up to two acres of cut time on a single charge…and recharges fully in just 4 hours. That’s battery-powered residential mowing with no oil changes, no spark plugs, pulleys or belts—and no gas.
