There’s another cordless vacuum coming to a job site near you. The Bosch cordless wet/dry vacuum has a few elements to its feature set that you might not expect in a first generation product like this.

Obviously, the big deal is the fact that this is a cordless vacuum. You only need one Bosch 18V battery to run it, so anything from your 2.0 Ah slim pack to the upcoming 8.0 Ah Core18V battery will work.
The Bosch GAS18V-3N is rated at 51 CFM and includes a washable HEPA filter. They don’t specifically mention it, but we can presume that going with a cellulose filter when you don’t absolutely need HEPA will boost the figure slightly. I also expect that we’ll see a bump in performance by using a Core18V battery.
Runtime is an interesting challenge since this is a 1-battery system. Bosch tells us that you can expect 4 minutes of runtime per amp-hour of battery, so roughly 25 minutes on a Core18V 6.3 Ah pack. Given the Core18V pack’s efficiency, it’s possible that number will be a little higher than the standard packs.
Pricing is very reasonable at $119 as a bare tool. That’s getting around Ryobi pricing considering their cordless wet/dry vacuum is $99 bare. The big difference you’ll notice is in volume. This 10.2-pound vacuum is designed to carry around rather than roll and has a 2.6-gallon capacity.
There’s no word yet on whether we’ll see concrete applications come into play. If they do, it’ll likely be under Objective Data rather than Table 1.
