Makita 80V XGT 1 1/8-inch Hex Breaker Hammer
The 80V breaker hammer, like Makita’s other 80V tools, actually runs on two 40V XGT batteries. The higher power draw means they can be pushed further than their single-battery counterparts, leading to higher performance and more runtime. In this case, the GMH04PL delivers up to 53.7 ft-lbs of impact energy and an impact rate of up to 870 BPM. Compared to Makita’s corded HM1812 breaker hammer, the 80V model delivers up to 70% faster breaking. The brand tells us you can expect to break an 8x6x4-inch thick, 5000 PSI concrete slab on a single charge using two kitted 8.0Ah 40V batteries. This model also improves vibration levels, with up to a 30% reduction.
- Model: Makita GMH04PL
- Torque: 53.7 ft-lbs
- Impact rate: 870 BPM
- Up to 70% faster breaking than corded solutions
