Let me just state for the record that I am not easily impressed. No, it takes a lot to make me say “Wow”. Take, for instance, the Cordless Benchtop Tools system we just reviewed. That was a rare “Wow”. But I got that one topped. This tool will make that look like a stroll on the beach. What I have is something that every true tool man needs in his special man-room. No, not the man-cave, or home theater. I’m talking about the throne room. The reading room. The Murphy closet. The second office. Captain Commode. It’s the carbon fiber toilet seat.
When we first got a glimpse of the Power8 Workshop we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. It seemed impossible to combine all of the tools that the product comes with into a small, easily portable case. It was both amazing to see, and also hard to imagine the engineering and care that had to be taken to ensure everything worked so well together. This is also the first cordless bench-top system we’ve ever heard of, and the interoperability of the tools is simply something you have to experience to appreciate. For anyone who has very restrictive space requirements, having a single cordless tool that can handle the duties of table saw, drill/driver, jigsaw, drill press, circular saw and more is something that we thought only Michael Bay’s Decepticons or Autobots would be able to pull off.
We’ve tried about every Bosch nailer to-date, and it looks like, with the BNS200-18 18 Gauge Brad Nailer, the company just may have saved its best for last. It’s smaller than most brad nailers we’ve seen to-date. It’s also extremely light at just over two pounds. It feels natural in the hand and is extremely maneuverable, with above-average ergonomics and features that really count – like dry-fire lockout and a tool-less trigger mode change. In a word, it’s fantastic.

The Milwaukee 2202-20 Voltage Detector with LED light is a simple, but perfectly useful tool. It’s strength is in the fact that it does what it needs to without frills and without costing an arm and a leg. It’s powered by a couple of AAA batteries and is small and light enough to store in a pocket, tool belt or just about anywhere.
