The Emerson side of the Ridgid tool brand has added more versatility to its line of cordless press tools. With a lighter and more compact frame than its predecessor, along with a slew of other features, the Ridgid RP 350 Press Tool has been custom-designed for contractors wanting a flexible lightweight pressing solution.

RP 350 Features

One of the first features that ought to make contractors happy comes by way of a pistol-grip design. Cordless tools have a rich history of employing the pistol-grip, and 100 million users can’t be wrong. Of the grip styles available on a press tool, the pistol-grip might be the most comfortable.

Additionally, the Ridgid RP 350 only weighs 8 lbs. with the battery attached, making for an even more comfortable user experience. Ridgid tells us that this model is 5% lighter than its predecessor, as well as three inches shorter. Not only will this provide an advantage with tighter spaces, but the light weight means less muscle fatigue over the course of the day.

The Ridgid RP 350 Press Tool also features a 360º rotating head to let you approach the job from any angle. It works with Ridgid’s full line of jaws and rings, including the 1/2 – 4-inch ProPress for copper and stainless steel, 1/2 – 2-inch PureFlow for PEX, and 1/2 – 2-inch MegaPress for carbon steel. It also pairs with the RIDGID Press Booster for 2-1/2 -inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch carbon steel, StrutSlayr Strut Shear Head, and the Press Snap Soil Pipe Cutter.

The Ridgid RP 350 Press Tool features a brushless motor, extending the life of the tool and virtually eliminating any scheduled maintenance. It also includes the brightest LED lights on the market, ensuring full visibility in cramped and dim conditions.

And, for on-the-go convenience, the Ridgid 18V battery platform includes a car charger so you can keep your batteries charged on the way to the next job. The RP 350 Press Tool also works with Ridgid’s Link app for tracking tool usage, service needs, battery life, and last known location.

Pricing

The Ridgid RP 350 will come in a variety of kit configurations when it releases later this year. We haven’t recieved any information on the pricing structure of these kits, but we can tell you that the tool will come with Ridgid’s Full Lifetime Warranty.
