While some Pros enjoy handmade boots that can be rebuilt and last for years, not all of us have a $500+ budget. Since most of us have to replace ours every 6 – 12 months, it’s worth staying on top of what new work boots have to offer. So, before you grab another pair, take a look at what’s come out recently. Your feet will thank you.

Tecovas LongHaul Work Boots
Tecovas has a solid history in the Western wear market but recently entered the work boot sector. With moc toe, roper, and pull-on square toe styles to choose from, they’re jobsite-ready with a waterproof, composite toe design. They hang onto their Western DNA, though, and are just as at home on the ranch as they are on the construction site.

Red Wing Traction Tred Lite BOA Work Boot
Red Wing’s Traction Tred Lite has a proven track record of comfort and stability in the field. While the line isn’t new, it got a refresh with the addition of the BOA fit system. Now, you can quickly and easily make adjustments to the fit on the fly without having to retie. It’s a design we love so much that it earned our pick as the Best Work Boot in 2025.

Brunt Vastbinder Work Boots
Among a slew of updates to previous brands to offer welted options, the new Vastbinder also made its debut for Brunt. Both the soft and comp toe versions of this Western-style boot use welted construction. It also has the advantage of the latest CUSH’N midsole and insole to offer all-day comfort. As we’ve come to expect from the Brunt brand, they use quality materials and construction while maintaining a lower price than you’d expect from other brands.

Wolverine’s waterproof membrane improves the boot’s ability to keep out moisture and release any that makes it in. Wrapping up the upgrades, the Durashocks SR now sports the latest lightweight CarbonMax composite toe.

Thorogood Genesis Work Boots
Made in the USA with global materials, the Genesis is a brand-new line with 5 options for Thorogood. The design focuses on creating a more stable cradle for your heel while opening up the toe box to create more room up front. Comfort improves with a soft midsole supported by a custom orthotic insole with a Poron forefoot that provides energy return via rebounding and a gel pad that cushions your heel with each step.

Keen Updates Popular Wedges with 90° Heels
Keen Utility enjoyed plenty of success with its San Jose and Cincinnati work boots, thanks to their blend of comfort and safety. In fact, the Cincinnati was our top-rated work boot for several years in a row. Now, both models have 90° heel versions for those of you who avoid the wedge style.
Will they be as successful? We’ll have to wait and see. While I’ve worn and enjoyed the wedge versions of both, the Camden is also incredibly comfortable and has been my go-to heeled work boot from Keen.
Note that the San Jose 90° is also available in a women’s fit.
San Jose 90° Price: $165 – $175
Cincinnati 90° Price: $190 – $215
Georgia Boot Core 37 Work Boots
With 11 styles to choose from, Georgia Boot’s new Core 37 line covers a wide range of needs. They cover the basics well with waterproofing, stability shanks, and steel safety toes. Plus, their cement construction keeps the weight down and has a shorter break-in period. What’s most compelling is the price. Hovering around the $150 price point, they’re more affordable than many of the other work boots we recommend.
