Keeper Kwikfeed Ratchet Straps: The Big Deal

Keeper Kwikfeed Ratchet Straps

Traditionally, ratchet straps require feeding the strap’s end through a small slot in the ratchet mechanism, which can be time-consuming and frustrating. The Keeper Kwikfeed ratchet straps eliminate this hassle thanks to the cutout in the forged steel barrel. This allows you to insert the strap at any point along its length. This innovation saves time and simplifies the entire process of securing a load. In many ways, I’m reminded of the Gear Armour Side Loading Ratchet Straps we reviewed a few years back.

Kwikfeed Open Barrel Design

Looking at the actual straps, it’s clear that they’re built with durability in mind. The Kwikfeed straps come in two length—12-foot x 1-inch, and 16-foot x 1.25-inch. The edges of the straps feature Keeper’s ExtremeEdge webbing, which makes them resistant to abrasion and prevents fraying over time. The coated s-hooks feature spring-loaded gates, ensuring a secure attachment that won’t work itself loose while you’re on the go.

The oversized ratcheting handle is one of my favorite features because it’s very easy to manipulate, even while wearing work gloves. I also love that Keeper listed the load ratings right on the strap for easy identification. There are also sewn-in tie loops just below the ratchet for added versatility. This additional tie loop is especially useful for making shorter connections while anchoring cargo in a truck or trailer. Moreover, these straps exceed DOT safety requirements for highway travel.
