Best Household Tool Releases from 2024
Cleaning – Hoover OnePWR SmartWash
Starting off strong in the cleaning sphere, we have the Hoover OnePWR SmartWash taking home top marks. This tool is the first cordless carpet cleaner from a major manufacturer, running on an 8.0Ah battery. It also cleans differently than anything we’ve seen before, opting for a trigger-free design. Instead, pushing it forward dispenses water into your carpet, and pulling it back extracts the water along with any stains. Additional cleaning modes include a Spot Boost mode which allows you to soak set-in stains, and a dry-only mode for quick drying applications.

Kitchen Products – Black & Decker vera Pizza Oven
Black & Decker is bringing authentic wood-fired pizzas right to your backyard with the vera 12-inch Pizza Oven. It reaches temperatures as hot as 950°F in around 15 minutes. Since it burns so hot, it can whip up a 12-inch pizza in as little as a minute. You can also use wood, pellets, or charcoal to power the vera, and it includes features like an onboard thermometer, a viewing window, and an easy-access fuel area.

Motorcycles and Mini Bikes – Greenworks 80V Mini Bike
Greenworks was one of a few major brands bringing battery-powered mini bikes into the market in the past few years, and they knocked it out of the park. While it’s not exactly a tool per se, it’s still a heck of a lot of fun. Greenworks opted for 80V batteries as the power source here, using its existing platform to let users interchange the batteries with their other 80V equipment. For top speeds, it reaches up to 25 MPH and has a range of up to 27 miles per charge with two 80V 8.0Ah batteries. When you need to recharge, the included dual-port rapid charger will get you back up and running in as little as 2 hours.
Price: $1799
Vacuums – Magic Chef MCVPro Cordless Stick Vacuum and Charging Tower
One thing we love about robotic vacuums is their ability to auto-empty their debris into a charging base. Magic Chef uses the same concept with the MCVPro cordless stick vacuum, emptying dust and dirt into the MCVTower charging base. This eliminates the need to constantly empty your canister or bag manually, extending the time you can use the vacuum. It comes with attachments like a flexible tube connector and telescopic wand, letting you clean even in hard-to-reach areas.

Outdoor Living – Project Source HydroSnake Flexible Mister
The Project Source HydroSnake Flexible Mister is a 6-foot-long flexible tube that emits a cooling mist. Its bendable design can wrap around a variety of materials and objects, letting you aim the sprinkler head wherever you need it. The design is simple but highly effective—just attach it to your garden hose to get started. Project Source even says it has the potential to cool the area by up to 20°F!
