Greenworks 60V 730 CFM Backpack Blower

Greenworks 60V Backpack Blower Defies Gas Dependence for High Performance

Greenworks has several 60V battery-powered backpack blowers under its belt with varying performance levels. If you’re ready to make the switch from gas to battery, it’s tough to go wrong with any of them. One tempting option is the Greenworks 60V 730 CFM Backpack Blower (BPB60L410), so I’m jumping in to help you see what this model has to offer over the others.

Greenworks 730 CFM Backpack Blower Performance

  • Model: Greenworks BPB60L410
  • Brushless motor
  • Max volume: 730 CFM
  • Max airspeed: 185 MPH
  • Power Equivalence: 50.2cc gas
  • Runtime: up to 60 minutes

The Greenworks BPB60L410 backpack blower runs on a single 60V battery. Its brushless motor achieves up to 730 CFM of airflow, with speeds topping out at 185 MPH.

While Greenworks doesn’t include a Newton force measurement for this blower, they do provide a 50.2cc gas equivalence. This is much higher than many of the brand’s other 60V backpack blowers, such as their orignial X-Series backpack blower we reviewed back in 2021, which tops out at 28cc gas equivalence. This increase in power puts this model in line with high-end residential gas backpack blowers.

Here’s where this model fits in with the rest of Greenworks’ 60V backpack blower offerings:

Using the 4.0Ah battery included with the kit, you can expect up to 60 minutes of runtime. A variable speed trigger lets you feather your speed to conserve runtime and set your speed to the application. To reach the peak blowing performance, Greenworks includes a Turbo Boost button on the throttle controls.

Like many of today’s blowers, there’s also a cruise control function to help you maintain consistent speeds.

When you run out of juice, Greenworks tells us you can be back up and running with a full charge in as little as 80 minutes.

Greenworks 60V 730 CFM Backpack Blower Design Notes

Greenworks 60V Backpack Blower
  • Dimensions: 53 x 17 x 13 inches
  • Working Weight: 14.5 pounds
  • Padded adjustable straps
  • Rubber overmold grip
  • Metal scraping tip
  • Concentrator nozzle

This battery-powered blower is a much lighter-weight option compared to most gas models—up to 20% lighter, according to Greenworks. As a bare tool, it weighs 10.9 pounds, and adding in a 4.0Ah battery brings the weight up to 14.5 pounds.

Of course, being a backpack model, that weight is distributed onto your shoulders and torso via the adjustable padded straps.

A rubber overmold grip provides additional comfort and security for your operating hand.

Finally, you might appreciate the metal debris scraper on the nozzle. When you run across stuck-on bits, you can get it moving without interrupting your workflow. Combined with the concentrator nozzle, this inclusion helps you easily loosen and blow debris like wet leaves.
