Maita fans, the wait is over! The brand has finally announced its much-anticipated new tool storage system, MakTrak! We’re going over what this storage system has to offer, and where you can preorder it ahead of its official release!
Makita MakTrak Products
Makita has announced seven initial organizers in the MakTrak system, including the following entries:
- MakTrak Rolling Tool Chest T-90009
- MakTrak Large Tool Box T-90015
- MakTrak Extra-Large Extension Tool Box T-90021
- MakTrak Medium Tool Box T-90037
- MakTrak Deep Medium Organizer T-90043
- MakTrak Low-Profile Medium Organizer T-90059
- MakTrak Deep Compact Organizer T-90065
These boxes boast some interesting, intentional design differences when comparing the MakTrak to other tool organization systems. For starters, you can conveniently open any box without unstacking, and they open in both directions thanks to their dual-hinging lids.
The deep design allows you to store larger tools, like circular saws, drills, impact drivers, rotary hammers, and grinders. You can also build and customize your own configuration using additional storage compartments within each bin.
For transporting across the jobsite, the Rolling Tool Chest is equipped with 9-inch all-terrain wheels. There’s also a retractable handle that lets you store it easily in the bed of your truck, and you can even fit your configuration under most standard truck bed covers (up to 21/5 inches in height).
Finally, Makita tells us that the MakTrak modular storage system is designed, engineered, and made in the USA using global materials.
Makita MakTrak: Price and Availability
At the time of writing, prices for MakTrak organization boxes range from $54.99 to $159.99, and the Rolling Tool Chest retails for $249.99. There’s also a 3-piece bundle that includes the Rolling Tool Chest and two Medium Tool Boxes for $429.97.
