Stay Warm Through the Winter With Makita’s 18V Heated Vest
As we look up to our northern friends from the comfort of central Florida’s warmth, the first snowfall of the year has already begun for some. The job still needs to get done no matter the temperature, though. One way to stay toasty in inclement weather is by using heated gear, and that’s where the Makita 18V LXT Heated Vest comes in. We’re looking at how it lets you use the same batteries you might already have to keep your core warm in the harsh winter weather.

The DCV202ZL heated vest is Makita’s latest entry into the heated gear category. Like the rest of the brand’s heated jacket lineup, it uses an 18V LXT battery for power, giving it a runtime of up to 35 hours on the lowest setting.
It features three color-coded heat modes— red for High, white for Medium, and blue for Low, providing precise heating control. The inner layer also houses a fleece lining to trap warmth even when you turn the power off.
This vest is machine-washable and dryable after you remove the battery holder and battery (sold separately). The battery holder incorporates a belt clip, letting you store the battery on your belt or in your pocket. Speaking of pockets, the DCV202ZL heated vest features four of them— one on the left chest, a left and right side pocket, and a back waist pocket.
Additionally, there’s a 2.4A USB power port for charging electronics like your phone or earbuds while you work.
