Festool Energy Set Serves Up Power To Go
The Festool Energy Set offers additional battery packs and a fast charger to your cordless power tools, ensuring you never run out of power in the shop or on the jobsite.
This seems like it will appeal to carpenters who do on-location or remote work. It can certainly help when you need extended runtime for your cordless power tools while working on a built-in or other project.
What’s In the Set?
The Festool Energy Set comes with two compact and two full-size lithium-ion batteries. The compact batteries give you 4.0Ah each, while the full-size batteries give you 5.2Ah each. All of the batteries in the set feature Bluetooth for use with the 202098 Bluetooth Remote Control, particularly helpful for use with Festool’s line of dust extractors.
The battery and charger set also includes the fastest charger they make, the SCA 8 Rapid Charger. This charger features Airstream cooling technology to keep the batteries cooler while charging.
As with anything in the Festool line, this energy set collection comes packed in a Systainer. These cases provide a modular approach to storage that keeps your tools and batteries organized and easy to transport. A custom foam inlay provides easy organization as well as some additional impact protection. Festool even leaves an open slot for an extra charger if you need it.
Pricing and Availability
Festool tells us that the plan is to release this kit in August 2021. It will be available in limited quantities exclusively from Festool dealers. You can expect the set to run you $395.
